As this flame burns, so our thoughts and prayers go with you through this difficult time. Roy was a wonderful man and surgeon. His gifted hands and smile blessed so many. He will be very much missed in our community, as well. Take good care...
Our families have shared a life in Chambersburg for two generations! Roy's father was best friends with my father. Roy's death is sad, but in no way ends that connection. This was a death that occurred too soon, but not before Roy gave as much as possible , both personally and professionally to everyone in the community and family around him!
Sending my condolences to the Himelfarb family and all the people that Roy impacted over the years. I wish I would have had a chance to spend more time with Dr. Himelfarb because I know he was a genuine and caring person, a profound role model for his children, and a man that changed and molded the Chambersburg community in so many positive ways. RIP Roy and may your family and friends find peace and happiness through these hard times.
Your journey has come to an end my friend but, the kindness, friendships and compassion you leave behind for all of us to cherish. What a great inspiration you were to so many of us. Thank you Dr. Himelfarb for inspiring me. Penny/Dan
Dr. Himelfarb was a kind, humble, and compassionate man. He will personally and professionally be greatly missed. May God comfort you, his family, and replace your grief with memories. Love-----Rita and Denny Hillwig
St. Mary Orthodox Church on Lincoln Way East would not be there where it stands now, had it not been for the benevolence and generosity of the Himelfarb family who donated the land to build the church. God does not forget a good deed; and our church will ever be grateful to Roy for the good he did. May his memory be eternal! Our sincere condolences to the family.
