Obituary

Obituary for Terry R. Schwartz

Terry R. Schwartz, 67, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born May 11, 1952, in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Walter “Jake” Schwartz and Doris Reeder Schwartz.

A United States Marine, Terry served his country honorably during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a machine operator at Ingersoll Rand. A faithful Christian, he enjoyed worshipping with Pastor Hege on TV and at the Grand Point Church. He was a social person and loved spending time with his family; especially his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Terry was a jack of all trades; be it working in his garden, tinkering in the garage with cars and tractors, or building things. He enjoyed car racing and motorcycle rides.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 23 years, Jennifer Wenger Schwartz, whom he married on October 24, 1996; his children, Justin Schwartz (wife Roxi), Briana Webber, and Kegan Schwartz, all of Chambersburg; his grandchildren, Taylor Everson (husband Tyler), Shannia Robertson, Hayley Schwartz, Ethan Schwartz, Leia Webber, Camryn Rowland, and Jaxen Rowland; five great-grandchildren; and his brothers, Tom and Gary Schwartz. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Tara Robertson in 2006, as well as two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, July 8, 2019, in the Chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Rev. Joe Pickens will officiate. Interment with military honors conducted by members of the Charles Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW Honor Guard will be at Stenger Hill Cemetery following the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Sunday evening and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
