Before life started taking up more of my free time, I always enjoyed seeing Joe and his model railroad, "The Back Creek & Western." Watching his trains run, hanging out with him and the guy he called "Thunderlungs," it was a great time to be there and see all his stuff and listen to ole' Joe shoot the bull about trains and trucking from the times he and my dad drove trucks. He will be missed in model railroading circles for sure. I will miss him and I hope he is now resting in the presence of Jesus.
