Betsy and family - Words cannot ever express how sad I am for losing an icon like your mother. We can only try to live our lives as well as she lived hers in following in her sweet footsteps. I remember going to lunch with Edie and Leona and what a girls' day we had. Edie didn't eat much but she made it up in stories and laughs. I loved listening to her tell us about the "good ole days" in Pitman. In listening to her tell me she mowed her own grass and cut her shrubbery just a few years ago gave me hope and courage to live my life without fear of growing old, that I could do whatever I wanted no matter age. Her beauty, her kindness, her resolve and her stories will forever be remembered. She and Leona are once again two peas in a pod, smiling and happy. Edie, my Great Aunt, you are and and will always be in my heart. I am honored to have known you and had such an intelligent and strong role model in our family. I cannot say good-bye because tears will ever flow; so Edie, until we meet again, I can never forget you or the lessons of life you shared with me. May God's angels carry you on their wings to a beautiful place that is home with all who love you. May Betsy and your family be blessed with your resolve and calmness to celebrate your wonderful life and share your memories with all of us who loved to listen to Edie's stories. Never end the stories and Edie will live among us always.
