Anna “Marg” Margaret (Rideout) Quivers, 83, of Chambersburg, passed away at her home on Wednesday, April 25, 2018. Born on February 6, 1935, in Mercersburg, she was a daughter of the late Thomas N. and Anna Rideout.

Marg was a member of John Wesley A.M.E. Zion Church, Chambersburg, where she was President of the Missionary Society and Sang on the Church Choir. She retired in 2010 from the contracting office at Letterkenny Army Depot after 20 years of service.

She is survived by her husband, John E. Quivers, Sr., whom she married on August 4, 1951; three sons, Jeffery A. (wife Josephine) of Cincinnati, OH, Steven M. and Thomas C., all of Chambersburg; two daughters in law, Carol Quivers of Chambersburg and Sally Quivers of Charleroi, PA; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; and two sisters, Doris Carson and Betty Quivers, both of Chambersburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sons, John E. Quivers Jr, William L. “Bill Quivers, Gary Lee Quivers, and Charles Quivers; a grandson, William Quivers II; five brothers; and four sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 AM on Monday, April 30, 2018, in the chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road Chambersburg, with Rev. Renata Moseley Harper officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Lebanon Cemetery.
