Betty L.  Boose
Betty L.(Pool) (Weller) Boose, 87, of Chambersburg, was received into the arms of God on Friday, June 22, 2018, in her home with her family by her side. Born January 19, 1931 in St. Thomas, she was a daughter of the late David W. and Esther G.(Pheil) Pool.

Betty was a homemaker most of her life, and enjoyed the time she spent with her family; especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Chambersburg First Church of God. She loved spending her free time in her garden and sewing.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Lawrence “Larry” Boose, whom she married on June 7, 1970; seven children, Cynthia Stoner, Chambersburg, Jeffrey (Deb) Weller, Greencastle, Diann Weller, Fayetteville, Teresa(Donald) Murray, Waynesboro, Rodney (Michelle) Weller, Greencastle, Dana(James) Belleau, Chambersburg and Keith Weller, St. Thomas; twelve grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; brothers Gerald “Joe” (Jane) Pool, Greencastle, and Donald “Johnny”( Pat) Pool, Chambersburg; and “adopted” daughter, Susan Wingert, Chambersburg. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her first husband, Benjamin W. Weller; children, Dawn R. Weller, and Larry “Chip” Boose; siblings Garnet “Billy” Pool, Kenneth “Jim” Pool, Patricia Adams, Shirley Reese and Mildred Stayman; and great-grandson Peyton Alec Zander Truett.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the Grand Point Church. Pastor Don Drury will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the church. Inurnment will be in Browns Mill Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Betty’s favorite color was lavender, so the family requests that guests wear lavender or purple clothing to her service, in her memory. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Betty’s name to The Kids Pointe Ministry of Grand Point Church, 2230 Grand Point Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202.

Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
