Virginia G. Saam, 82, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Tuesday evening, July 21, 2020 at her home. Born July 6, 1938 in Bowling Green, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Ardinelle Zimmerman Meeker. Mrs. Saam was a 1954 graduate of the Bowling Green High School and was employed as a warehouse associate at Knouse Foods in Chambersburg for 31 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of The Presbyterian Church of Falling Spring in Chambersburg. She enjoyed shopping and home decorating and loved gardening, flowers, and spending time with her family. Her husband, Richard P. Saam, Jr., preceded her in death on March 24, 1991.

She is survived by three children, Jeannie Neil of Chambersburg, Michael Saam and wife Stephanie of Shippensburg, and Jacqueline Coldsmith and husband Joe of Newville; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and her sister, Sharon Rzeznik of Toledo, OH. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, David Paul Saam on June 16, 2016, and two sisters.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 24, 2020 at Corpus Christi Cemetery.
