Obituary for Virginia Baker (Ebersole)
Virginia "Ginni" Ebersole Baker, 79, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania passed away April 4, 2023 with her family by her side. She was born on September 8, 1943, in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania to William and Irene (Buterbaugh) Ebersole.
Virginia graduated from Chambersburg Area Senior High School in 1961. She worked at J. Schoeneman-Stanley Company for 2 years, Nichols Discount City for 5 years, South Mountain Restoration Canteen Services for 3 years, Piney Mountain Nursing Home for 12 years, and Chambersburg Hospital for 15 years, retiring in 2005. She was an EMT with the Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary for 8 years.
She was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and the Franklin County Sports Car Club. She enjoyed attending car shows with her husband, camping, traveling, and reading.
Virginia is survived by her husband of 57 years, Charles L. Baker, daughter Andrea B. (fiancé of Daniel B. Hammaker) and son Christopher C. (husband of Pamela L.) Baker. She was preceded in death by a son Matthew D. Baker.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Doug Lehman will officiate. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends Monday evening, April 10, 2023 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
