Obituary for Tris A. Tomanio Norton
Fayetteville, PA - Tris A. Tomanio Norton, age 49, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021, at UPMC Westshore Hospital in Mechanicsburg, PA. Born May 25, 1971, in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of Patricia Myler Zurback and the late Louis Tomanio.
She was a 1988 graduate of McConnellsburg High School. Tris also attended Wilson College for two years. She was lastly employed at the Chambersburg Career Link as an office manager. Tris had a passion for the outdoors; she enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, spoiling her grandchildren, and riding motorcycles, especially her Harley. Tris was a member of the Pond Bank Community Church.
Surviving is her husband of 29 years, Tad Norton, whom she married on August 21, 1991; three children, Renee Rector Caldera (husband Luis) of Hagerstown, MD, Tad Harold Norton of Chambersburg, PA, and Seth Norton of Clarion County, PA; two grandchildren, Jaiden and Hally Szczerba; and three siblings, Paul Tomanio, Jeffrey Edward Lynn, and LeeAnne Weikert (husband J.R.).
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2021, at 1 PM at Pond Bank Community Church, 6555 Duffield Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Pastor Jeremy Lehman will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 3 from 6 - 8 PM and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the above church and address. Interment will follow the service in Stenger Hill Cemetery, Ft. Loudon, PA.
