Obituary for Terry L. Rideout
Terry L. Rideout, age 71, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away on Monday, March 22, 2021, at his home with his family by his side. Born in Hagerstown, MD on March 9, 1950, he was the son of the late Maurice Quivers and the late Dorothy Rideout.
Mr. Rideout was owner and operator of Rideout’s Cleaning and Maintenance for over 35 years. He also worked as a truck driver for 14 years, working for the Borough of Waynesboro. He enjoyed working on vacuum cleaners, watching game shows, and the Washington Redskins. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife of 14 years, Tina S. Pittman Rideout, whom he married on June 30, 2006; three children, Tracey Bowyer (husband Michael) of Harrisburg, PA, Yvette Hinton of Fayetteville, PA, and Alicia Rideout (DaRon) of Newport News, VA; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Bobby Rideout of Chambersburg, PA, Evadney “Tiny” Richardson of Chambersburg, PA, and Maurice “Peanut” Quivers of Lemasters, PA.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM on Friday, March 26, 2021, at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA. No public services will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Antietam Humane Society, 230 E. Main St., Waynesboro, PA 17268.
