Obituary for Terry L. Reisinger
Terry L. Reisinger, 63, of Chambersburg, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Born June 19, 1959 in Lewistown, PA, he was a son of Roxie Swartz Reisinger Marpoe and the late Vance Reisinger.
Terry was a 1977 graduate of CASHS. He served honorably in the US Army for 10 years. While in the Army, he earned a bachelor’s degree to teach the German language. He was employed for several years with Hoffman Mills in Shippensburg and most recently was employed as Assistant Manager with Armada in Greencastle. Terry enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his family. He was an avid Duke basketball fan and Baltimore Orioles fan.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Jacolyn K. Hann Reisinger, whom he married on September 26, 2009; four children, Trevor Reisinger of Chambersburg and Jasmine Haag, Teri Adams and John Reisinger, all of Germany; two step-children, Crystal Immel of Hanover, and Clay Howe of Shippensburg; several grandchildren; seven siblings, Diane Wagaman of Waynesboro, Brenda Mixell of Shippensburg, Mike Marpoe of IN, Shelia Bohrer (Sheldon) of Hancock, MD, and Tracy Marpoe (Kim) of NC, Rodney Gish (Alicia), and Kirk Finnen; numerous nieces and nephews; and his step-father, Paul Marpoe. In addition to his father, Terry was preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Reisinger; twin brother, Jerry Reisinger; and brother, Shawn Marpoe.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at the Upper Strasburg Church of God, 9716 Upper Strasburg Rd, Upper Strasburg, PA 17265. Rev. Timothy Redmond will officiate. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project at woundedwarriorproject.org.
