Obituary for Sharon M. Davis
Sharon Marlene Davis, 71, of Chambersburg, PA, is a new star shining in the heavens today. On Tuesday, February 9, 2021, she took the hand of God and entered his kingdom. Born on August 19, 1949, she was the daughter of the late William Warren and Dolly Madison Robertson. Surviving is her husband of 21 years, Kevin Davis, three sisters, Barbara (Mrs. Paul) Fessler of Waynesboro, Vicki (Mrs. Randy) Hemler of Biglerville, and Roxi Ann (Mrs. Nick) Jacobs of Chambersburg; nieces and nephews, Sam Long, Karla Gonder, Belinda Riley, Greg Kline all of Waynesboro, Ted Snively, Amy McCoy, Ashley Norris, and Brooke Lombardozzi all of Chambersburg; and numerous great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. A sister, Nancy Kline; a nephew, Ty Long; and a great-nephew, Joshua Snively, preceded her in death.
Sharon previously was employed at Letterkenny and in her high school years she worked at Johnson’s Treat. She also fostered children in her home for ten years. She was a wonderful human being. God, family, and friends were her top priority. She would at any given time help out anyone in need. Sharon went above and beyond in spoiling her loved ones as much as she could. Throughout her lifetime she had several health issues that most would not be able to endure, but she was strong and courageous through her faith in Jesus Christ with each illness that came her way. She would never let anything bring her spirits down. On Sundays as long as she was able, she would arrive at Grand Point Church early to save seats for her family to worship God and sing together. It was one of her greatest joys. Another favorite activity was to shop for her family. She loved her family and God dearly and would always arrive at family functions way earlier than the time designated, dressed to the hilt with her trademark bright lipstick and colorful attire that suited the occasion, so she could help and be a part of every bit of the festivities. With every event, she toted a huge bag full of gifts and goodies for everyone attending to make moments special for the ones she loved no matter what battle she was facing. She allowed nothing to steal the joy she had for others. She left a special impact on everyone she met. If she knew of someone having a bad day, she would drop off treats to help brighten their spirits. Everyone loved and blessed her heart. Sharon especially loved being with the little ones and loved having conversations with them. She soaked up every second of that joyful time, never distracted from their exciting stories that she truly listened to and loved.
A perfect scripture to describe our Sharon: ‘For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.’ Matthew 25:35
We will all miss and love her more than she could ever know.
There will be a special Celebration of Life held at Grand Point Church at a date and time to be determined.
