Shalee R.”Polly” Murphy, 38, of Chambersburg, PA passed unexpectedly away Saturday, February 5, 2022 in Greencastle, PA. Born October 31, 1983 in Martinsburg, WV she was the daughter of Carla (Murphy) Mendieta and her husband Javier.

She attended Chambersburg Area Senior High School. Shalee was employed for various places over the years including Sheetz, Securitas and Ulta Distribution in Chambersburg and P&G, Martinsburg, WV. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, reading, listening to music and completing Mad Libs books. She loved dogs and celebrating her birthday with homemade pumpkin pies. Shalee had a big heart and would help anyone, anytime she could.

In addition to her mother she is survived by two sons, Amir Barton of Chambersburg and Leland Uglow of Cumberland, MD; and two brothers, Jaelen Johnson (Danielle) of Concord, NC; Greg Hovermale of Martinsburg, WV; an aunt, Melody Murphy (Salvatore “Chivo”) of Chambersburg, an uncle Carl “Doug” Murphy (Kasey) Hedgesville, WV; and several close cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Carl “Dick” and Nancy Murphy.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, PA.
