Obituary for Samuel L. "Lynn" Woolcock Jr.
Samuel L. “Lynn” Woolcock, Jr., 64, of Chambersburg, PA and formerly of Harrisburg, PA, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born April 7, 1958 in Lansing, MI, he was a son of Rev. Samuel L. Woolcock, Sr. and Shirley J. Auvenshine Woolcock.
Lynn was a self-employed owner/operator of his own painting business. A talented artist, Lynn entered his artwork in several Harrisburg area art shows. He was a skilled fisherman, enjoyed playing basketball, church softball, golfing, building model cars and his cats, Bobo and Bambino. He attended Grace Bible Church in Greencastle.
In addition to his parents, Lynn is survived by his daughter, Amberly Gaither (Chuck) of Frederick, MD; granddaughter, Ambrea Gaither of Frederick, MD; three siblings, Janiece Johnson (Terry) of Greencastle, Mark Woolcock of Chester Springs, and Jere Woolcock (Jill) of Martinsburg, WV; four nephews and one niece.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 10, 2022 in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Herm Fisler and Rev. Nathan Hykes will officiate. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle, PA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Road W., Chambersburg, PA 17201, to the American Cancer Society at cancer.org, or to Grace Bible Church, 2327 Hoffman Road, Greencastle, PA 17202.
