Obituary for Ruth I. Smith
Ruth I. (Sechrist) Smith, 82, a resident at the Gardens at Gettysburg, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2021. Born May 22, 1938 in Selinsgrove, PA, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Brownwell) Sechrist and widower of the late Howard Smith, who preceded her in death in 2014.
Mrs. Smith worked at the Selinsgrove State School as a cook for 30 years, before retiring in 2003.
Surviving is her brother, William Sechrist (Lois) of Chambersburg, PA, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Lois, Robert, and Charles.
