Obituary for Ronald E. "Daisy" Haulman

Mr. Ronald Eugene “Daisy” Haulman, 83, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born February 7, 1937 in Chambersburg he was the son of the late William Jacob and Ellen (McClure) Haulman.

He attended Chambersburg area schools. Mr. Haulman served in the Pennsylvania Nation Guard in the 1950’s. He worked as a truck driver for several local companies before going to work for S.E. Nichols Discount Store, Chambersburg. He later retired from Walmart in 2001 after 10 years of service.

Ronald was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan and a Nascar enthusiast. He also drove the #24 stock car at local race tracks in the 1960’s.

He attended several local churches where he served in many ministry positions and he enjoyed serving in the Franklin County Prison Ministry. Ronald also served on the board of the Chambersburg Project. He was also a former member of the Franklin Fire Company.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Connie M. (Robinson) Haulman, who he married June 9, 1962 in Hagerstown, MD; a daughter Barbara Moran and her husband Timothy of Chambersburg; a granddaughter, Britney Moran of State Line, PA; a grandson, Connor Moran of Chambersburg; siblings, Ginger Black of Chambersburg, Larry Haulman of Christiansburg, VA, Ed Hammond, Barbara Carbaugh, and Kenny Hammond all of Upper Strasburg, PA; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his siblings, Edgar “Buck” Haulman and Patricia Wible.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, 3218 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201 with Pastor Joe Baer officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Monday, December 14, 2020 in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. CDC social distancing and mask guidelines will be in place.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 159 Lincoln Way West, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
