Obituary for Robert R. Schropp
Robert R. Schropp, 76, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at his home. Born March 18, 1946 in Windber, PA, he was a son of the late Robert and Genevieve Ott Schropp.
A US Army veteran, Robert served honorably during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a Senior Buyer for Potomac Electric Power Company for 31 years until his retirement. For the past eight years, he was employed part-time as a driver for Fitzgerald Toyota Nissan in Chambersburg. Robert had a passion for painting and displayed his artwork throughout his home.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Geraldine Wood Schropp, whom he married on January 23, 1971; two children, Pamela Lynn Eidsness and husband Lars, and Robert Brian Schropp, both of Catonsville, MD; granddaughter, Astrid Eidsness; three brothers, Harry Schropp, Duane Schropp and wife Sharon, and Roy Schropp and wife Frances; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Marty Schropp
Services and interment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association at heart.org.
