Robert W. Perry, Sr., age 92, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at Chambers Pointe Nursing Center. Born February 28, 1930, in Fayetteville, PA, he was a son of the late John Perry and Martha Wingerd Kauffman.
Mr. Perry worked at T.B. Wood for 45 years. He was a member of the VFW Post 1599, Moose Lodge 842, and Corpus Christi Catholic Church all of Chambersburg, PA. Mr. Perry enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, and traveling.
He is survived by his son, Robert W. Perry, Jr. (wife Cheryl) of Chambersburg; and sister, Betty Mercer of Fayetteville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Irene (McKenrick) Perry, who passed away April 30, 2020; daughter, Irene Frances Perry in 1953; brothers, Leslie and Jere Perry; and sisters, Freda, Vera and Hulda.
Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 11 AM on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg, were Rev. Fr. Allan Wolfe will celebrate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will follow the service in Corpus Christi Catholic Cemetery.
