Obituary for Richard C. Patterson
Richard C. “Dick” Patterson, 81, formerly of Ft. McCord Road Chambersburg, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 in the Shippensburg Health Care Center. Born on February 14, 1939, in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Irvin C. and Gladys Martin Patterson.
Dick was a graduate of Shippensburg University and retired from the Chambersburg Area School District, where he taught biology for 35 years. He was also a member of First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by one son, Thomas (Stephanie) Patterson and grandchildren, Emily, Bennett and Madelyn, all of Pennington, NJ. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Janet and Jean.
Private graveside services will be held in Lincoln Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg.
