Obituary for Reuben C. Jones
Reuben C. Jones, age 78, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021, at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born July 14, 1942 in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Paul F. and Kathleen L. Gsell Jones.
Mr. Jones was a 1960 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School. He worked as a nursing attendant at the Chambersburg Hospital from 1974 until he retired in 2008. Mr. Jones was a member of New Franklin Assembly of God Church, where he enjoyed church functions and had led worship for many years. He was also a member of the Chambersburg YMCA, where he enjoyed swimming. Mr. Jones enjoyed time with family, especially at family picnics
Surviving is his brother, Ned E. Jones (wife Becky A.) of Fayetteville, PA and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Roger Jones and a nephew, Kris E. Jones.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021, at 10 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Pastor James Brunetto will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 6, 2021, from 6 – 8 PM and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Lincoln Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the New Franklin Assembly of God Church, 2355 New Franklin Rd., Chambersburg, PA 17202.
