Obituary for Raymond L. Witter Jr.
Raymond L. Witter, Jr., 73, of Fayetteville, PA passed away, Wednesday, December 28, 2022 in his home. Born May 21 1949 in Chambersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Raymond L. Witter, Sr. and Mildred (McGowan) Witter.
He attended Chambersburg Area Schools. Ray served with the United States Army Reserves during Vietnam. He was employed for Letterkenny Army Depot working his way up from welder to machine shop foreman. He retired in 2013 after over 42 years there. After retirement he worked part-time at Conocodell Golf Course. Ray was a member of the VFW Post 1599, American Legion, Marine Corps, Vietnam Veterans Club, the Chambersburg Club, and the George Washington Masonic Lodge143 all in Chambersburg. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing.
He is survived by his son, Barry Witter and his wife Heather of York, PA; two granddaughters, Kailey and Emma both of York; a brother, Michael Witter; a sister, Maryann Witter; and a number of nieces and nephews.
