Raymond E. Schabowsky, 62, of Chambersburg, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born August 30, 1957 in Baltimore, MD, he was a son of Bette Lois Weeks and the late Robert L. Schabowsky, Sr., and was raised by his late maternal grandmother Gertrude Weeks and his late uncle Norman Weeks.

A 1975 graduate of Arundel High School in Gambrills, MD; Raymond went on to honorably serve in the United States Army from 1983 to 1986, and then with the Maryland National Guard Reserves. He was most recently employed as a forklift operator at Ventura Foods in Chambersburg. An avid fisherman, he also enjoyed gardening and carpentry.

In addition to his mother, Raymond is survived by his wife of 29 years, Candace L. (Koperski) Schabowsky, whom he married on March 8, 1991; his children, Raelene Dalton of Bedias, TX, Jennifer Mitchell (Zach) of Ft. Loudon, PA, and Anthony Schabowsky, of Chambersburg; grandchildren Briannon Schabowsky, Joseph and Mary Dalton, Kerstien Lehman, and Neveah and Adrian Mitchell; his brothers, Robert (wife Barbara), David, and Glenn (wife Christine) Schabowsky; and step-mother Connie Schabowsky. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Aiden Mitchell and great granddaughter, Juniper.

Private services are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
