Obituary for Peggy L. Shatzer (Shatzer)
Peggy L. Shatzer, 92, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Monday morning, February 1, 2021 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born June 19, 1928 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late John E. and Mary E. Stepler Shatzer. She was a 1946 graduate of the former Chambersburg High School and was employed at Geyer Industries, Inc. for 47 years, retiring as the office manager. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church; Falling Spring Chapter 2840 AARP; and the Ladies Auxiliary of Charles Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW. Peggy loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her sister, Marlene Fisher of Scotland, PA, 10 nieces and nephews, and many great and great-great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Rife and Saundra Perry, and two brothers, Jack and Donald Shatzer.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
