Obituary for Paul J. Kendall
Paul J. Kendall, 52, of South Mountain, PA passed away Friday, June 3, 2022 in Laurel Lakes Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, Chambersburg, PA. Born December 26, 1969 in Chambersburg he was the son of the late John K. and Anna Mae (Hancock) Kendall.
He was a graduate of Shippensburg High Area Senior High School. Paul was a volunteer firefighter for 25 years and an EMT since 2012. He served at West End Fire & Rescue Company, Waynesboro Fire Department, and South Mountain Fire Department. He was a lifetime member at Waynesboro Fire Department. He held various positions over his career at South Mountain Fire Hall including, Assistant Fire Chief, Captain, Lieutenant, Sergeant and Junior Advisor. Paul loved hunting and fishing and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Sara Reed, Kyler Kendall, Jeremy Kendall and his wife Autumn, Brittany Freeman and her husband Ryan, Stephanie Kendall, and step-son, Corey Kauffman and his wife Reba; fourteen grandchildren, Kendrick, Tylen, Neveah, Mariska, Conner, Bryce, Kimber, Braylen, Avery, Landon, Carlynn, Gracelynn, Emmalynn, and Kylee; and a sister, Paula Kendall of Harrisburg, PA.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one son, Tyler Kendall.
A Celebration of Life will be held 6:00 PM, Thursday, June 16, 2022 in South Mountain Volunteer Fire Company, 11207 Loop Road, Fayetteville, PA 17222. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Thursday evening in the fire hall. Arrangements are by Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, PA.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to South Mountain Volunteer Fire Company, 11207 Loop Road, Fayetteville, PA 17222.
