Obituary for Patricia A. Nelson (Gift)
Patricia A. “Pat” Nelson, age 69, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born July 5, 1950, in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Donald and LaRue Johnson Gift.
Mrs. Nelson was a 1968 graduate of CASHS. She worked as a Certified Nurses Aide for a number of years, prior to retirement. She was a member of the New Life Worship Center. She enjoyed Cats and dogs, crocheting, lifetime movies, shopping, pampering herself, and watching Dancing with the Stars.
Surviving are two children, Edward “Eddie” Vaughn (Denise Angle) of Chambersburg, PA and Tammy Peters (Jeremy Atherton) of Ft. Loudon, PA; one granddaughter, Kayla Sites; and three siblings, Pam Long, Bill Gift, and Jay Gift all of Chambersburg, PA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Tyler Peters in 2015.
Private services are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA. Private interment will follow in Lincoln Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the animal charity of one’s choice.
