Obituary for Olive Jane Yurkovich Gary

Olive Jane Yurkovich Gary, age 75, a resident of Quincy Village, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2020. Born October 10, 1944, in Detroit, MI, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Weaver and Vivian Shirk Weaver.
Mrs. Gary worked as a nurse for a number of years, retiring in 2006. She enjoyed playing cards, gambling, playing Bingo, and watching the Golden Girls.
Surviving are six children, Mark Yurkovich (Amy) of Middletown, DE, Christopher Yurkovich (Shelley) of Carlisle, PA, Brian Yurkovich of Lebanon, PA, Amanda Yurkovich Hess (Brad) of FL, Kevin Yurkovich (Tischa) of OH, Roberta Yurkovich of Johnstown, PA; 17 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a brother James Weaver of Johnstown, PA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Gary in 1993 and two daughters, Cheryl Pekala and Valerie Yurkovich.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at 1 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Pastor Phil Foster will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Cambria County Humane Society, 743 Galleria Dr. Ext., Johnstown, PA 15904.
