Obituary for Nancy L. Colangelo
Nancy L. Trice Colangelo, age 86, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022, at her home. Born in Lycippus, PA on October 20, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Robert W. and Gladys G. Johnson Trice.
Mrs. Colangelo was a 1953 graduate of Hurst High School in Norvelt, PA. Nancy worked at the former Town and Country as a cashier for a number of years, where she enjoyed meeting the people coming into the store prior to working at the former Franklin County Nursing Home retiring after 17 years, as Director of the Activities Department. She had a lot of pride in her home; so she cherished time decorating it.
Surviving is her husband of 59 years, Anthony “Tony” Colangelo, whom she married on June 9, 1962; two children, Robert Colangelo and Carrie Colangelo; three grandchildren, Daniel Colangelo (wife Kerry), Sam Colangelo (Jennifer Thomas), and Haley Colangelo Garies; three great-grandchildren, Anthony and Shelby Colangelo and Treveyn Schuchman; and four siblings, Rebecca Montgomery of Latrobe, PA, Susan Hurley of Latrobe, PA, Lester Trice (Monica) of Greensburg, PA, and Dennis Trice (Cindy Holliday) of Brookville, PA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Robert “Bill” Trice.
Services and interment in Lincoln Cemetery will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Chambersburg Memorial YMCA, 570 East McKinley St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
