Obituary for Michael William "Mike" Stine
Michael W. “Mike” Stine, 77, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Monday, February 13, 2023 in his home. Born July 4, 1945 in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Edward P. and Viola E. (Miller) Stine.
He attended Chambersburg Area Schools. Mike was self-employed for Stine’s Enterprise. He enjoyed watching old western movies, history, carpentry work, spending time outdoors, family cookouts and spending time with his dog, Willy. He was a member of the George Washington Masonic Lodge 143 and a life member of the Chambersburg Club.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Avon M. (Amsley) Stine who he married November 12, 1965; five children, Laura E. Fix (Todd) of McConnellsburg, PA, Andrew L. Stine (Marci) of Fayetteville, PA, Nancy L. Rosenberry (Jeffery) of Chambersburg, Michael E. Stine (Bobbie Jo) of Chambersburg, SueAnn S. Sellers (Scott) of Chambersburg, ten grandchildren, Megan Fix, Taylor Jefferson, Lucas Stine, Katie Rosenberry, Chase Rosenberry, Kristen Stine, Emilee Clark, Benjamin Stine, Summer Sellers, and Winter Sellers; seven step-grandchildren; three great-granddaughters, Maddie, Jay and Oakley; six step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia Elliot and Susan Rebert; two brothers, Gregory Stine (Cathy) and Leonard Stine; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Grace Stine; a sister, Nancy Rhinehart; and two brothers, Ronald and Terrance Stine.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, February 20, 2023 in Overflow Community Church, 642 Lincoln Way West, Chambersburg, PA 17201 with Doug Lehman officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Monday morning in the church. Arrangements are by Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg.
