Obituary for Martha Jean Paszkowski
Martha J. Paszkowski, 74, of Chambersburg, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022 in her home. Born June 19, 1947 in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Fix and Gladys Hock Jones Fix.
A 1965 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School, Martha primarily worked as a bank teller at Chambersburg Trust, then Valley Bank for over 20 years, and then as a nursing assistant at the former Piney Mountain Nursing Home and Quincy Village. She was a great cook and enjoyed teaching others to cook. She loved playing the organ, knitting, gardening, birdwatching, fishing and traveling.
Martha is survived by her husband of nearly 38 years, Andy Paszkowski, whom she married on February 25, 1984; children Jim Cutchall and Paul Paszkowski (wife Elaine); grandchildren Bethany and Ethan ; and siblings, Maryann Snyder, Joan Black and Dennis Fix. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jay Jones and Ernest Lee Fix.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA where Rev. Ron Cook will officiate. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org
