Mable C. Wingert Bard, 99, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2022 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born March 31, 1923 in St. Thomas Township, she was a daughter of the late Clarence G. and Myrtle E. Forrester Wingert. She had been employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the former Franklin County Nursing Home for 32 years. Mrs. Bard was affiliated with St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Williamson. Her husband of 42 years, Marshall W. Bard, preceded her in death on December 24, 1981.

She is survived by a daughter, Doris Lane of Springfield, Missouri; two sons, Daryl Bard and wife Lisa of St. Thomas and Larry Bard and wife Nancy of Long Beach, Mississippi; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Geraldine Hoover; and her son-in-law, Russell Boyer. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Marcia Boyer on September 30, 2022; a grandson, Michael Lane; a brother, Garnet Wingert; and a sister, Margretta Wingert.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Thursday, October 20, 2022 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Matthew Kayhart will officiate. Interment will follow at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday and from 10:30-11:30 AM on Thursday at the funeral home
