Obituary for Louise F. Lusby
Louise F. Lusby, age 88, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023, at Chambers Pointe Nursing Center. Born December 12, 1934, in Beardstown, IL, she was the daughter of the late Theodore “Ted” and Hazel Tucker Rathman.
She attended Anderson University, where she met her husband, Charles (Chuck). Mrs. Lusby attended the First church of God in Baltimore, Md. She enjoyed playing the piano singing in the church choir and The Joybelles. After retirement and moving to Pennsylvania, she enjoyed going to the Chambersburg Senior Center. Before retiring Mrs. Lusby worked as a secretary most of her working years, retiring from CSX in 1995.
Surviving are four children, Dean William Lusby of Sunbury, PA, Douglas Charles Lusby of Indianapolis, IN, Russell David Lusby of Baltimore, MD, and Stephen Thomas Lusby of Matthews, NC; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at 1 PM in Air Hill Cemetery, Cumberland Hwy., Chambersburg, PA, where Rev. Wayne Harting will officiate.
