Obituary for Kenneth W. Lavery
Kenneth W. Lavery, 79, of Fayetteville, PA passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born February 5, 1943 in New Kensington, PA, he was the son of the late Daniel and Leona (Gawrys) Lavery.
He was a graduate of Ken High School with the Class of 1960. Ken then went onto technical school. He was employed as an electrical engineer at NASA (Goddard Space Flight Center), Greenbelt, MD working on the Space Program. He retired in 2008 after a long career.
Ken is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carol (Logan) Lavery; two children, Bruce Lavery and his wife Stacy of Severn, MD and Amy Slack and her husband Dave of Tappahannock, VA; four grandchildren, Ally and Rachel Lavery and Mary-Stuart and Parker Slack; and a brother, Larry Lavery and his wife Barbara.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg.
