Obituary for Jess B. Rosenberry Jr.
Jess B. Rosenberry, Jr., 90, of Roxbury, passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born February 7, 1932 in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Jess B. and Elizabeth Peters Rosenberry. His beloved wife, Marianne Köher Rosenberry, preceded him in death.
A US Army veteran, Jess served honorably during the Korean War. He was employed at Letterkenny Army Depot as Guided Missile Control Systems Repairer until his retirement. He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and enjoyed golfing, bowling and knitting.
He is survived by three siblings, Robert Rosenberry, Carl Rosenberry and Betty Stouffer, all of Roxbury; and numerous nieces and nephews. Aside from his parents and wife, Jess was preceded in death by his son, Rolf-Andreas Rosenberry in 2017; and a sister, Marie Rosenberry in 2020.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, PA. Fr. Allan F. Wolfe will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the VFW Post 1599 Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
