Obituary for Jere P. Brehm
Jere P. Brehm, age 83, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023, at the Shippensburg Health Care Center. Born August 11, 1939, in Chambersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Philip W. and Marianna Bowen Brehm.
Jere was a 1957 graduate of CASHS, he went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree and his Commission through ROTC at Western Maryland College. Jere served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1961-1972. He was a member of Solomon’s Lutheran Church and the Numismatic club. Jere enjoyed coin collecting and watching sports.
Surviving is his loving wife of 43 years, Phyllis Bitner Brehm, whom he married on October 20, 1979, and two cousins, Peggy Sue Frey of Urbana, MD and Joseph Frey.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at 11 AM at Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg, PA, where Pastor Barbara Barry will officiate. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Inc., Chambersburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
