Jane L. Cummings, 74, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Wednesday evening, June 8, 2022 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born August 30, 1947 in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late James and Mary Sweiger Brown. Jane was a 1965 graduate of the Waynesboro High School and had worked for more than 30 years at the former Stanley Company in Chambersburg. She was last employed at the St. Thomas American Legion. She was a life member of AMVETS Post 223 and the Marine Corps League in Chambersburg and was a social member of the St. Thomas American Legion. She liked to go to breakfast and have coffee with her brothers and sisters and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also liked doing Word Search puzzles and time spent with her cat, Baby Boy.

Jane is survived by her daughter, Tammy Shaffer and husband John of Chambersburg; her grandson Taylor Caldwell; a sister Diana Dupert of Chambersburg; and a brother, David Brown of Myrtle Beach. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Alleman; and three brothers, Steven Brown, William Brown, and Terry Dupert.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, June 16, 2022 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Vernon Isner will officiate. Interment will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from Noon – 1:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
