Obituary for James I. Mosten
James I. Mosten, 63, of Hagerstown, MD passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023 in Sterling Care South Mountain, Boonsboro, MD. Born December 12, 1959 in Chambersburg, PA he was the son of Patricia A. Mosten and the late James I. Ransom.
He was a graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School. James then went on to serve with the United States Army. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers football fan.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Christopher Scott of Florida; seven grandchildren, Aniah, Lateef, Natalia, Lydell, Mariska, Zayleigh, and Ariah; a step-grandson, Zymir; three brothers, Patrick “Aaron” Ransom, Anthony Mosten, and Dennis Ransom; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a brother, Rodney Mosten.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
