Obituary for Harry F. Goetz
Harry F. Goetz, 88, of Chambersburg, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born November 10, 1933 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Edward F. and Pearl E. Sheets Goetz.
Harry was employed as Vice President of E.F. Goetz Construction Company in Chambersburg. He played in the marching band in high school and enjoyed watching and listening to them. He also enjoyed watching basketball and football.
He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn J. Shaffer (husband John H.) of Chambersburg; two grandchildren, Tyler Shaffer of Chambersburg, and Jennifer Finkey (husband Jeff) of Upper Strasburg; two great grandchildren, Odin and Iestelia Finkey; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his brother Charles Goetz.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 2:00 PM in Norland Cemetery. Rev. Dr. A. Robert Cook will officiate. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
