Obituary for Harold Lee Rosenberry

Lee Rosenberry, 75, known to many as Rosie, passed away suddenly in Greencastle, PA on Saturday March 6th, 2021. Lee was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Lee was born November 29th, 1945 in Miami Florida, the son of Harold L. and Ruth (Gossard) Rosenberry. He was a 1963 graduate of Chambersburg Senior High School and was employed by Corning Glass for 33 years. Prior to joining Corning, Lee served in the U.S. Navy as a communication technician stationed at the Pentagon and was very proud of his service to his country. Lee was a member of the Marion United Methodist Church where he served for many years as the church organist and was a member of American Legion Post 373 of Greencastle, Waynesboro Fish and Game Association, and the Greencastle Sportsman’s Association.

Lee and his high school sweetheart, Norma (Baker) Rosenberry, enjoyed 55 years of marriage. In addition to Norma, Lee is survived by a daughter Lisa Wilder and her husband Frank of Reading PA; a son, Linn Rosenberry of Rockland Maine and 2 grandsons, Ben and Skie of Reading.
Lee was well-loved for his optimistic personality, his sense of humor and his care and devotion to others. He loved college football (especially Penn State, Virginia Tech and anyone playing Florida State). An avid fisherman, Lee had a knack for being the only person on the lake catching fish.

Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, PA. A public celebration of Lee’s life is planned at 11:00 am on September 25, 2021 at one of his favorite places, Cowan’s Gap State Park. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to an animal shelter of choice.
