Obituary for Grandon H. Carmack
Mr. Grandon H. “Pud” Carmack, 79, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2021 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born August 6, 1941 in Chambersburg he was the son of the late Grandon W.H. and Betty (Cordell) Carmack.
He was a graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School. Mr. Carmack was employed for SunnyHill Developers, Chambersburg in maintenance retiring in 2014 after many years. In his earlier years his was employed as a mechanic.
Grandon loved to hunt, take walks in the mountains and spend as much time as he could with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Rita J. (Koontz) Carmack who he married July 9, 1983; four step-children, John C. Johnson, Duane C. Johnson both of Shippensburg, PA, Robert E. Johnson and his wife Jakie of Williamson, PA, and Debbie A. Gloss and her husband Jeff of Chambersburg; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; six siblings, Robert Carmack and his wife Marian of Waynesboro, PA, Nancy Carmack, Donald Carmack and his wife Karen, David Carmack, Rhonda Carmack Morales-Solis and Kimberly Kopp all of Chambersburg; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, March 15, 2021 in the Chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery, 990 Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg, PA.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Monday afternoon in the funeral home.
