Gloria “Jean” Seiders Kegerreis, age 80, of Scotland, PA, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Menno Haven Brookview on Monday, August 22, 2022. Born May 6, 1942, in McConnellsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry W. and Mazie E. Rasp Seiders.
Mrs. Kegerreis was a 1960 graduate of the McConnellsburg High School, where she excelled at Track and Field. She worked at the former J. Schoeneman Company for over 35 years. She enjoyed traveling, her dog, visiting her family, grandchildren especially spending time with her greatgrandchildren.
She is survived by three children, Gary Kegerreis (Bonnie) of Chesapeake, VA, Robert E. Kegerreis, Jr. and Dawn Kegerreis both of Scotland, PA, 2 grandchildren, Derek (Rachel) Kegerreis and Nikki (Mike) Todd, 5 great-grandchildren, a step-son, George Vaughn Kegerreis of Martinsville, VA, 8 step-grandchildren, 13 step great-grandchildren, 1step great-great grandchild and a brother, Carl Seiders (Marian) of Ft. Littleton, PA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Kegerreis, Sr. in 1991, two step-children, Robert Lee Kegerreis and Shirley Jean Metts and siblings, Hazel, Dorothy, Faye, Patricia, Nancy and Harry.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022, at 1 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Chaplain Brenda Doyle will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 25 from 6-8 PM and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Cumberland Valley Breast Care Alliance, 1601 Mountain Rd., suite 101, Mercersburg, PA 17236.
