Obituary for Glenn Alexander Reasner

Glenn A. “Cuz” Reasner, 89, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away Tuesday morning, February 25, 2020 at Paramount Senior Living. Born May 7, 1930 in Fayetteville, he was a son of the late Ralph K. and Bertha McClure Reasner. Cuz was employed with the Chambersburg Engineering Company as a blacksmith for 27 years, retiring in 2000. He was a member of the Chambersburg Club, the Marine Corps League, and the Charles Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW, all in Chambersburg, the Shippensburg American Legion and numerous other area clubs. He enjoyed baseball, basketball, football, horseshoes, and NASCAR. His wife, Shirley A. Goetz Reasner, whom he married May 1, 1982, preceded him in death on July 22, 2003.

He is survived by his daughter, Glenna L. Reasner Kauffman (John) of South Mountain; son, Steven D. Reasner (Donna) of Chambersburg; step-daughter, Carol Goetz Shaffer (John) of Chambersburg; five grandchildren, Lisa Woy (Brian, Nicholas Ryan Reasner (Leah), Derek L. Mills, Ashley L. Beam (Mike), and Hayley A. Reasner; step grandchildren, Jennifer Finkey (Jeff), and Tyler Shaffer; great-grandson Tobias Alexander Beam; and step great-grandchildren Odin and Iestelia Finkey, Gabe and Ethan Woy and Braiden Beam. He is also survived by three sisters, Frances Geraldine Horne of Fayetteville, Sarah Jane Reese of Spring Run, and Alice Faye Staley of Gettysburg. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Karen Renee Reasner; great-grandson, Chase D. Shepard; and fourteen brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 29, 2020 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Interment will follow at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 8:00-10:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
