Gary Thomas “G.T.” Edmondson, age 71, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on February 21, 2023, at his home. Born February 22, 1951, in Chambersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Galen Edmondson and Peggy Washabaugh Bonner.
G.T. was a residential general contractor throughout his life, owning GT Edmondson, General Contractor. He was a member of Junior Hose and Truck Company, AmVets Post 224, Moose Lodge 842, Marine Corps League, VFW Post 1599, and the American Legion Post 46 all in Chambersburg, PA. G.T. enjoyed woodworking, especially building furniture. He cherished time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His passion, was caring for his dogs.
Surviving is his wife of 30 years, Ginger Bard Edmondson, whom he married on May 15, 1992; two children, John Edmondson (wife Lori) of Chambersburg, PA and Amy Duke (husband Craig) of Chambersburg, PA; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Donna Zeis (husband Albert) of Chambersburg PA, G. Michael Edmondson (wife Pam) of Raleigh, NC, and Rodney Edmondson of Port St. John, FL.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023, at 11 AM at Cornerstone Church of Christ, 1350 Tallow Hill Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Pastors Robert Hart and Jerry Timbrook will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Inc., Chambersburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Rd. West, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
