Obituary for Francis G. Weyer
Francis G. Weyer, 72, of Chambersburg, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Promedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. Born November 28, 1949 in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Francis M. Weyer and Genevieve (Tenley) Weyer. Francis worked as a general laborer at various firms in the Chambersburg area for most of his adult life. He also enjoyed rooting on the Pittsburgh Steelers and listening to music, especially The Rolling Stones.
He is survived by his son, Scott Weyer; granddaughter Kayla Shockey, Tyler Weyer, Kerri Shockey, Trevor Pensinger, and Terry Frey; and siblings Heidi Weyer, Robin Gearhart (Harry), and Matthew Weyer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Vickie S. Pensinger, who passed away in 2015; and step children Karen Perry and Benjamin “Benny” Pensinger.
A memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA on Tuesday, November 15, 2022. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cumberland Valley Humane Society, 5051 Letterkenny Road, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
