Frances I. Rice, age 71, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born in Frederick, MD on October 30, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Helen Jewell Bell.
Ms. Rice was a 1968 graduate of the Frederick High School. She worked at the Franklin Learning Center as a Teacher’s Aide for 25 years, retiring in 2016. A social butterfly, she enjoyed going to classic rock concerts, line dancing, volunteering for 4-H and having a little quiet time, reading.
Surviving are three children, James “Ben” Rice (wife Jaime) of Loris, SC, Earl “Chip” Rice of St. Thomas, PA, and Eric Rice of Chambersburg, PA and three grandchildren, Nathanial, Blake, and Bailey Rice. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Bell.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Inc., Chambersburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Franklin County 4-H, 181 Franklin Farm Lane
