Obituary for Esther V. Kissinger (Mackey)
Esther V. (Mackey) Kissinger, 94, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Monday, December 5, 2022 in the Shook Home where she had resided the past four years. Born August 17, 1928 in Upper Strasburg, PA she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Jessie (Newman) Mackey.
Esther was employed as a seamstress at Stanley Company for over 30 years until her retirement in 1989. She attended Air Hill Brethren in Christ Church. She enjoyed sewing, cross stitching, and crocheting.
She is survived by four children, Phyllis J. Snider and her husband Gary of Florida, David L. Kissinger and his wife Connie of Fannettsburg, PA, Edward D. Kissinger and his wife Theresa of Chambersburg, and Tina M. Rockwell and her husband Jeffrey of Chambersburg; seven grandchildren, Stacey, Brian, Craig, Jessica, Sherry, Zachary, and Erica, seven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Naomi Hill of Orrstown, PA. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband David W. Kissinger six sister, three brothers, and two granddaughters, Melissa and Amanda.
Services will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, December 9, 2022 in the Chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202 with Mr. Greg Rockwell officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
The family will receive one hour prior to the service Friday afternoon in the funeral home.
