Obituary for Doris J. Myers (Gsell)
Doris J. Myers, age 89, of Fayetteville, PA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 30, 2022. Born May 29, 1933, in Fayetteville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Russell W. Gsell and Hazel M. Knoll Gsell.
Doris graduated from the Chambersburg High School in the Class of 1951, and was a member of the Open Door Church since 1970.
Surviving are her three children, Blair R. Myers of Dushore, PA, Thomas M. Myers (wife Sherri), and Jackie M. Loar of Chambersburg, PA; four grandchildren, Karisa, Jessica, Garrett, and Cheyenne; three great-grandchildren, Kylee, Ryland, and Leland; a brother-in-law Thomas R. Myers (wife Mary) of Redondo Beach, CA and a sister-in-law Joan Myers; and nephews Philip Gsell and Curtis Gsell (wife Anna Marie). In addition to her parents, she was preceeded in death by her husband Frank P. Myers and a brother Herbert R. Gsell, two sisters Marie E. Thomas and Jane L. Gsell. The Myers family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the assistance given to them from Alvin and Jeanne, Elizabeth, and Ellen.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, December 3, 2022 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA 17202; where Pastor Carl McKee will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Lincoln Cemetery.
