Obituary for Donna Shipe (Tarner)
Donna L. Shipe, 67, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Tuesday morning, July 20, 2021 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born February 16, 1954 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Robert D. and Edna M. Johnston Tarner. Donna was a 1972 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School. Donna was employed for many years at the former City Answering Service in Chambersburg and later retired from SpiriTrust Lutheran Services. She was an avid reader and enjoyed hiking in the woods and spending time with her family. For many years she led a ladies Bible study in her home.
She is survived by her son, Elijah E. Shipe; two grandchildren, Aubrey Q. Shipe and Gabriel E. Shipe; and her sister, Debbie Hafer, all of Chambersburg.
A service to celebrate Donna’s life will be held at 7:30 PM Friday, July 30, 2021 at Grace Brethren Church, 315 South Edwards Avenue, Chambersburg, PA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until the service begins at 7:30PM.
