Obituary for Diane Poston (Mueller)

Diane Mueller Poston, 79, formerly of Shippensburg, PA, passed away Wednesday morning, April 17, 2019 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born February 15, 1940 in Darmstadt, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Willi and Elisabeth Mueller. She graduated from high school in Germany and later managed the Animal Shelter Thrift Shop in Shippensburg for many years. She and her late husband, Randy, worked together driving truck for a number of years. A fitness enthusiast she worked out daily at the Fitness Center in Shippensburg. She was an Elvis fan and enjoyed spending time with her family. Her husband, Randy Poston, preceded her in death in 2008.

She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl L. Mell and husband Ron of Carlisle; a brother, Werner Mueller of Germany; her daughter-in-law, Georgina Gibbons of Chambersburg; nine grandchildren, Randy Sowers, Jr., James Sowers, Jay Doyle, Eddie Gutshall, III, Kyler Gutshall, Jodi Gutshall, Shane Mell, Cody Mell, and Jordan Sowers; and seven great-grandchildren, Camden, Rylie, Randy III, Allyson, Archer, Brianna, and Aubrey. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Robert E. Sowers on May 27, 2017 and Randy W. Sowers on November 29, 2017; and a brother, Norbert Mueller.

Services and interment will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5059 Letterkenny Road West, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
