Obituary for Dennis J. Sanders
Dennis J. Sanders, 65, of Fairfield, PA passed away the evening of Wednesday, June 15, 2022 in his home. Born November 28, 1956 in Chambersburg, PA he was the son of the late Joseph and Marion “Dot” Sanders.
He was employed as an arborist for 20 years by the Asplundh Tree Expert Co. and 25 years with Bartlett Tree Company. Denny was a member the American Legion Post 46, Amvets Post 224, and the Marine Corps all in Chambersburg.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was well known among his family, friends and neighbors for his generous spirit, patience and sense of humor. He will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Susan “Beth” (Diehl) Sanders; two children, Dinen Fogal (Austin) of Chambersburg and Karrie Kinney (Jon) of Fayetteville, PA; a step-son, Ben Trickett (Kate) of Finksburg, MD; a granddaughter, Ally Byrne, four siblings, Cindy Snyder (Bill), Mike Sanders (Dee), Kennie Sanders (Tina) and Alan Sanders all of Chambersburg; a nephew, Andy Sanders and a niece, Nicky Sanders.
A celebration of life will be held from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Saturday, August 13, 2022 at the AMVETS Post 224, 750 5th Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201. Arrangements are by the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg.
