Obituary for David J. Bookheimer
David J. Bookheimer, Age 62, of Fayetteville, PA passed away on January 26, 2023, at the Chambersburg Hospital after a 1 ½ year battle with cancer. David was born on November 27, 1960, in Chambersburg, PA, a son of Betty Bookheimer of Carlisle and formerly of Fayetteville and the late Lawrence Bookheimer. David is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Lauri Bookheimer whom he lovingly referred to as Lauribelle.
Also surviving are two brothers, Mike of Hagerstown, MD and Sam of Baden, PA along with a sister, Kathy (Greg) Miller of Carlisle, PA. He is also survived by two nephews, Coy Hile and Charles Bookheimer and a niece, Carrie Bookheimer.
David’s passions were NASCAR, the Pittsburgh Steelers and his four legged loved ones….. Sadie, Gucci, Smokey, Chloe and Casey.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Road West, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
